Rihab Hamid Mohamed Abdelaziz was my big sister. She and her twin, Randa were born in Sudan to Amal Amin Badawi and Hamid Mohamed Abdelaziz.
Rihab was fiercely opinionated and unapologetically Black. She taught our nieces and nephews to say BLACK POWER when they were just learning to speak. She was loud and proud about her Nubian heritage, and also about how little she cared about other peoples' opinions of her.
Rihab was a storyteller, a writer. She was a talented cook, a memorable and soulful singer, and so many things to friends and family in every part of the world.

رحاب حامد محمد عبد العزيز كانت أختي الكبرى. هي وتوأمها راندا وُلدتا في السودان لأبيهما حامد محمد عبد العزيز وأمهما أمال أمين بدوي.
كانت رحاب ذات رأي حاد، وأسود البشرة بكل فخر واعتزاز. علّمت أبناء إخوتها وأخواتها قول "القوة السوداء" (Black Power) وهم يتعلمون الكلام. كانت صاخبة وفخورة بأصولها النوبية، وبمدى عدم اكتراثها برأي الآخرين فيها.
كانت رحاب حكواتية وكاتبة. طاهية ماهرة، وغنية بصوتها الروحاني الذي لا يُنسى، وكانت الكثير والكثير لصديقاتها وعائلاتها في كل أنحاء العالم.
